are they different in different countries?

recently my cousins from the US and i went to pizza hut in india nd ordered pizzas.they were of the opinion that the same pizza 4m pizza hut tasted different in their country and that they didnt like it here.whereas i liked it.is it true that the traditional italian pizzas have been tailormade in different countries,even though outlets are the same in those countries?do u think this is a healthy practise,since the original identity of pizza is lost.?this is not true for pizza alone but for many other food stuffs as well....
