As much as I loved the Ratnam-Ilayaraja combo, there is no better director-composer combo in Indian cinema, of all-time, than the Ratnam-Rahman combo. Even their worst soundtrack together, "Yuva", can hold up being better than the best of other composers. My personal favorite Ratnam-Rahman combo has to be "Thiruda Thiruda". Each and every song in that album is a gem.

absolutely its ilaiya raja in the middle 90's. But nowadays its good going among the mani and AR Rahman.
