The good and the bad of the tongue

A man said, "O Messenger of Almighty Alloh S.a.w. , such and such a woman has a reputation for engaging to a great extent in prayer, fasting and alms giving but she annoys her neighbours with her tongue." The Messenger of Alloh replied , "She will go to hell." He said,"O Messenger of Alloh S.a.w. such and such a woman has reputation for engaging to a small extent in fasting, alms giving and prayer, but she gives pieces of curd as sodaqoh and does not annoy her neighbours with her tongue." The Messenger of Alloh replied, "She will go to paradise".
