Hope you all agree that circket is a mind game, this what the commentators would chant in all the game. I too believe that cricket is a mind game. Okay!!! lets come to the serious discussion. If cricket is a mind game, whose mind it should be. Obviously the answer would be the players and the captain!! Do you think Coach mind play part?

Sitting here in Australia, you realise that the Aussies don't have some clever plan to defeat England. They just don't approach sport in that way. Warne pulls a lot of faces, but that's all he's doing. Australians are either on top of the world (when they are winning) or they feel that they are getting their just deserts (when they are losing). They don't think any further than that and that is why England are doing better now. They are not thinking too hard, they are just playing the game and it's working.

I agree that the cricket is the mind game and players should be always active physically as well as mentally. I think the mind comes in the play specially on the crusial or you may say at very close matches. It is necessary to stay cool and hold the nerve. Captain and coach and there thinking plays very important role.

Yup cricket is a mind game and everything should be planned in order to win the game. You should know the pitch condition, proper players, wind direction, what kind of field setting. Form of the batsman and making him bat the way bowler wants. Putting on a high score and bringing down the confidence of the opponent team.
Many more. all these things make cricket a mind game.

i think coach's mind does play in the field . coach is there to makeup the players mind , his job is to bring confidence in the players for what they r capable of. it always depends up on the players how they take it and how they utilise it on the field.

Cricket is a mind game... I agree. But at the same time I agree with the fact that any international game you play is a mind game. Simple reason is that once you've reached the international level, it means you have the talent. Then the only thing that separates you from the rest is your mental strength.
If you play Gully cricket, then cricket is surely a game that requires skill and technique and power.
