East Bengal or Mohun Bagan ?

Well for everyone reciding in the eastern part of india it has to either of the two arch rivals . Mine is east bengal due to ancestral reasons . I would love to know what is your pick and why ?

If I go by the ancestral location it would be East Bengal, but that is not the cse for me... I go by the ancestral sentiment, i go by the freedom struggle that my ancestors did... and yes Mohun Bagan institution was and will always be the source of inspiration.... So i go by the green and maroon shirt proudly....

thank you for your response . and yes i totally agree there can be no bigger institution than mohun bagan . the way they won the first ifa shield barefooted can never be forgotten . wish mohun bagan all the best for the future .

and since this is an international community, with around 50,000 users, how fruitful do u think a poll between ghatis and bangals will get????

btw iroot for east bengal....and the only reasons which i can think of to support my choice are ..well...ancestral reasons...

well, for every bengali it IS ancestral reasons and ancestral reasons alone that determines the club they support (with very few exceptions of course). this discussion is only a poll on how many ghatis and how many bangals are involved in mylot.

Well dont agree totally .Yes ancestral reasons do play a part but it is no the only deciding factor.There are many other rasons too .although i agree it may lead to a poll of ghati and bangals.

I like East Bengal ,because they have had a good record of wins in India as well as in Asia..they were the first Indian club to win ASEAN championship.
