I was the only child and lived a carefree and pampered life. My son lives an even better life, 10 times more luxurious than mine. Childhood is wihout worries and responsiblilities with everything being taken care of. But everyone can't love their childhood. There are some who have come up from a very miserable childhood.

I love my childhood. It is that time the person's appreciativeness is at its peak. I enjoy playing. You're free from stressful obligations. Simple things can make you happy. It seems your world is much colorful during those childhood days.

I DON'T LOVE my childhood! I've gone through situations that are fit for people in their teens. I think I've never had the essence of childhood at all. They say that it's the best stage in ones life because you are free to do everything, you are excused from the painful consequences of your action because your just a kid but in my case, at 7 years old, I was expected not to play with our neighbors because according to my maternal grandmother, "you're too old for that!" The first and last time my mom helped me out with my assignments was during my kindergarten 1 (5 years old) because everytime I would ask my mom to help me out and my grandma would overhear me, she'd tell me "I thought you're intelligent, so why can you not do it by yourself that you still need someone to help you out?" I still have lots of not so good memories in my childhood that when I'm asked of something that I truly treasured happening in that stage, I simply can't think of any.

I loved my childhood because I had a lot of good times. I learned a lot of important lessons, made a lot of good friends, and life was just easier. I think most people like childhood the best because it was a time of ignorance in a sense, and I do agree that ignorance is bliss. There were no bills to pay, no debts, no credit cards, no jobs, no rent, no responsibilities, no politics, no major decisions to make, no stress, no limits to your dreams, and nothing to be accountable for. It was a carefree time for the most part. Everyting was done for you and you were provided for and not expected to do much in return. I think most people didnt realize how good childhood was until we look back on it, and now we long to have that carefree life again.
