Hey, if you are really into Windows "user friendly" application/environment. You must try installing Windows applications in a linux box using crossover linux. I already tested it and works fine..

Linux has come such a long way. Its alot easier to install now. Ubunto is a 3rd party distro of linux that is free and very Easy to use. But, you can do alot more in linux than you can windows, so its only hard to understand if you dont know how software / programs / hardware works :)

Well, Linux is not less user friendly than Windows, it is just different. The console (which is the main reason why most people think Linux is less user friendly) is actually your friend, with which you can communicate with the computer, and with time allows you to do jobs faster than GUI in many cases. And Linux has GUI. If you think of cool interfaces, well Linux has been having them for a long time before even Vista was thought up. Do not believe me? Try Puppy or Kubuntu or Ubuntu
