this is a fear which can come to anybody who was not having this phobia in the past so don't panic
this is just a symptom and not the cause
go to some psychiatrist and check out what caused this fear
if u r able to identify the cause then it would be very easy for u to come out of this phobia otherwise it will take a lot of time and it can be a platform for other fears
so don't waste ur time just asking on mylot
u can take advice but u should consult psychiatrist for the same

There are alot of people afraid of heights it is a common phbia along with being afraid of small places. In my opion I see that they were started by something that took place up high and sub consious tells you that you to can be hurt all though its possible but not true you generally have to go back in time to figure out when you first became scared of heights to determine what caused it could just be something you seen.

It's a very common phobia but for most people effected with it it's not very bad, just mild discomfort that will not stop them from normal activities, if it does interfere with your daily activities (I know people who would not want to go above 3 floors in any building) then you need psychological analyses to determine the cause of it and get it cured.

You are just like me. When I was younger, I would even look through the window from a very high building. But now,I am so scared of heights I don't want to be near a window at a high floor. I would rather stand at a distance.

Phobias usually start very simply and over time become more complex. The phobia occurs over a stressful event - and the person avoids future conflict with the stressful event, but the phobia usually becomes far removed from the original stressor. Phobias are the easiest of disorders like this to treat. Go to see a psychologist and he or she can help you find the root cause of your phobia and fix it. Don't neglect - as phobias can get worse over time.
