Do you like to be in the boat or on land when you are fishing? Or do you do a little of both? So far I mainly fish from land. We are fixing up my father in-laws bass boat and to the water we go in the spring. woohoo

Stream - Stream with a lot of fishes to catch
When I was yet a child, my father used to take me with him catch fish both in a boat or on land. My father was excellent in catching fishes even with just his bare hands. I was too excited to see him dive inside the water then comes up with his catch.

i would love fishing on a boat, i think there are better chances of catching more fish from a boat.

Our house in the province is near the seashore so when the fishing boats come in, when I was still young, we used to be there waiting to have some fishes. But I have never tried to fish either in the boat or on land as fishes of many kinds are abundant. We did not have to fish ourselves.

If I don't mind people being around me with noisy kids and pets, then land is ok. When the fish aren't biting, it doesn't matter anyway. :) I just like to be FISHING! lol The day just melts away all thoughts when that line hits the water. When I want to be "alone", then the boat is the place to be. Nature's sounds soothe the soul whether you catch any fish or not, you come back refreshed.

Fishing is enjoyable either way. I have always gone sea fishing from the shore, and been on a few charter boats too. Now I've bought my own boat and hope to make lots of use of it through our short UK summer season!

i'd rather fish from a boat than from land tho' from land is safer, and i do both. perhaps this has to do with the kind of fishing we do, which is in the sea not freshwater.sea fishes tend to be more wary so you have to go to them and this is best done by fishing the reefs from a boat.there are fishes in piers, yes, but they are smaller and more difficult to hook.

Agree about the fish being smaller near the piers. I haven't gone out in the ocean on a boat to deep sea fish but want to. I just like fishing period. Land/boat,sea and or fresh water fishing...fun fun don't ya think? Thanks for your response

I like to do it from land, for some reason I feel more secure than in a boat. But I have gone out on the boat with the guys, so I had to put on like I was having some big fun, when I just kept hoping I didn't fall off the edge.

yes it is very relaxing. when I was younger my dad had a boat and we would go fishing. When I got older my friends and I would rent a barge and go fishing over night out on the lake which was a lot of run. But it has been a few years now since I've been out on the water so will be cool to get the boat going and get out there again. But I can take either or. I just love to be outside. Thanks for the response.

I do a lot of both but I prefer to be in a boat it is lovely when we go out on the lake and pack a picnic for lunch, we have a lot of fun and it is such an enjoyable day it is also great that we can get away from the noise and pollution so I hope that you will enjoy your bass boat adventures.
