how can i submit my website to search engine like yahoo,google altavista..etc??

hello to all good day!!! hey can anyone tell me how to submit a website to any of the search engine in the internet?..coz i had just made my own website and i want it to submit to a search engine..so that it will appear anytime someone search in that search engine...thankz!! i'll be greatful to all of your response..godbless!!!
