Houses were offered for a mere 50 pounds because they were in a crime plagued area. Since then, crime has dropped by a third, reports a tabloid. And property prices have risen to fortune-making heights. An incredulous Salik said, "Our house was worth nothing. I can't beleive what it costs now." Now that's one lucky house-holder.
