Omega-3 fatty acids are thought to reduce the 'stickiness' of the blood making it less likely to clot and preventing the heart from beating irregularly. they may also protect the coronary arteries, which carry blood to the heart, from some damag.
Omega-3 fatty acids have also been believed to help reduce the level of triglycerides in the blood as raised triglyceride levels are often associated with coronary heart disease. Since we cannot make Omega-3 fatty acids in the body, it needs to come from our diet.

I agree with you.
I take fish oil tabs and so does my husband and father in law( ever since he had
a mini stroke) His doctors are amazed that he does not need Coummadin at present
So I guess there is something to say about Omega -3
My husband has researched this subject thoroughly and even got startred with USANA products Although I feel over counter are just as good

My friend and neighbor recommended taking Fish Oil tablets so I went to the store today and bought a bottle of softgels and took a couple already. She thinks that this could also help me with my disc protusion so I am giving this a try and try to avoid taking Celebrex, which can cause harm to the liver from what I have heard. I am using the Nature Made Fish Oil. There was a website that recommended certain brands and said to avoid other brand names. On the bottle it says that Fish Oil may reduce coronary heart disease risk.
