The best years of Vincent's life,in Arles,Saint-Remy and Auvers, saw the creation of some of his most brilliant and memorable canvases, such as Sunflowers and the Bedroom at Arles. But this intensely creative period was also the time of Vangogh's final and irrevocable mental breakdown which culminated in his suicide at Auvers at the end of July 1890.
what a tragic end to a celebrated artist whose worth was never recognised during his lifetime. At times I feel being ahead of times is a curse.
