ARR's contribution to Music in other genres?

Hey, just the other day, i was casually discussing with my friend about why he is great. He had a nice point in contradiction, when he said that he does only serious movies, most of the times. As i thought about it, I found it tough to find many out-&-out comedy movies he has scored music for. Or thriller or such stuff, e1.. My main perspective is the Hindi films.. I dunno, too much about the tamil films he has done. What do you guys say?
