i was just currious about the star rating my rating yesterday was just 3 and today it has increased to 7 what is this all about

not exactly sure what this points thing really mean but I saw a 9 at my name in the space of a month

my star rating was 6 when i started.today its the same.I dont know how to increase it.i spend a lot of time in this site but my rating still not changing.Have a NICE day everyone.
