Some schools say that uniforms are important as they improve discipline among students and its a sign of equality and others say that Casual clothing should be allowed to make the students more comfortable and make the students feel that school is their second home. So what are your thoughts/views on this?

I have a dress code in my school and I would prefer no dress code. But I transferred from a school that did have uniforms so I am more content with the dress code. They also say uniforms and dress codes help keep their behavior at a safe level. Since dressing for work or for going to church puts them in a state of mind that is commited towards work and good behavior while it is seen that casual clothes gives students the feeling of playtime. But I still prefer casual clothes.

absolutely yes! it would make the financial discrimination oblivious! everybody would be wearing the same thing, there would be no camparisions between how expensive someones shirt is and how truly trodden someones coat was! i dont think its the clothing that creates the impression on the student of being at a second home rather its the atmosphere created by the teachers, and those in position of power that invokes that feeling.
