who is a better player(sachin or ponting)?

even though iam from india and a great fan of sachin i will say ricky ponting is a good player in the consistency. sachin is not good in his consistency. so i will go for ponting.

At a national interest, If we look in the matter Ricky Ponting is more dependable and Guaranteed player of cricket. But technically he is not as sound as Sachin Tendulkar. I prefer Ricky is better than Sachin.
