Bail bondsman??

I am interested in becoming a bail baondsman. Any one out there know how to get started? I called a couple of bail bonds businesses and they just said take the test. They didn't say what test or where to take it! Please only serious answers:-)!!

A bail bondsman is someone who posts bail for another who has been charged with a crime. I am wanting to be a police officer in UK and figure that I ciould be a bail bondsman while waiting for Leave to Remain. I can't apply as a police officer until then. I think this will help me to know the area and the people while I am waiting.

I have sense found out that they don't have the bail bonds agencies like I am used to.

I am currently searching for the same information. I am in NC (USA) and have built up quite a network from when I was an editor. I bet those same sources could be a wealth of information for this line of work!
