I work for a Huge ISP and i have always been curious. Why is it that people always call there isp for comp help. if the computer does not come on, we get a call! if the mouse stops working, we get a call. and its not the elderly people. its the younger people that flip out when you explain that your mouse not working has nothing to do with the internet!

Infact the reputation or the goodwill of ths ISP'z are truely better than those so called customer care representitves sitting in average type of computer companies or shops just this is the reason of it I dont think any other matter involving such _tupid things

That's kinda scary that you're getting calls like that. I'd expect that from older people but younger generation should almost come out of the womb with that knowledge. Nowadays, they teach basic computer troubleshooting in elementary school. Kinda humbling when I used to be more knowledgeable than most when it came to computers, and now most teenagers probably know more than me. It's reassuring to see I still have some people beat though =P

I think they always call the ISP for computer help because is the only telephon number they have. Nobody will give you a tel. number is you buy a display or a video card...but the ISP..they give money monthly and they this is there right. :) Can u post some discusion with that kind of people? I've heard that they are really funny!
