Hi guys, i'm new here and curious to find out more about the mylot community. So if there was just one piece of advice that you wish someone had shared with you when you started using mylot, what would it be? Whether it's about using the site, posting messages, making money etc, i'm interested about hearing that one piece of advice that you think is invaluable.

Hi when i first joined - if someone told me we get paid for adding photos to our interests - i'd have earned a lot. i used to earn by discussions only till i got this tip on one of the discussions . i started uploading pics but soon afterwards mylot started their 500 + to post pics thingy. now when i go have 500 posts to my credit, i can upload pics again but now they have some limit on no of pics one can upload so i really wish i knew this from day one. u also try this as soon as u reach 500.

Have fun, post good discussions, and respond to discussions in a well thought manner. Enjoy.

I agree with SimplyJo - I wish someone had told me about the importance of photographs - I only started using them very recently! Also - the importance of a good network of "friends" who respond to your discussins and help to get them started!

Thank for your reply. I've started to realise the value of having a good network of friends and always read through their discussions when I first sign in. Enjoy your weekend!

I would like to evryone read on How to rate someone discussions or replies. Many people rate others discussions/replies negative just because other people differ from their own opinions. This is not a good way of rating some discussion. They should read the guide lines and more judicious in giving rating to other.

Yes i've noticed that a lot of people are mentioning in their posts that people are giving negative ratings just because they don't agree with the persons opinion, rather than negatively rating low quality posts. Maybe mylot could find a way to start penalising people who do this?
