I don't personally understand why -- I've never worn lipstick, I find that it's too heavy and doesn't look that great on -- I personally perfer lip gloss, it's shinier, and looks better on, I think.

I don't know about all women, but I do know me=)
I like to wear lipstick to accent my lips. Their are only 2 that I wear. One is a light pink that just looks good on me, and the other is a clear shiny lipstick. It makes my lips look fuller without having any of that collagen(?) in it.

I think ladies use lipstick quite simply to make their lips more outstanding, and lip stick works well for those whose lip colour is naturally quite similar to their skin tone. However, ladies should not go overboard with the lipstick, it can make them look quite foolish and scary.

Lipstick makes their lips more attractive and also makes their face glowing. But the regular use of lipstick also harms lips.

I feel it is more of a habit. it is not that lips look beautiful with lipstick. May be for a few it may conceal the natural color that they think ugly.
let us look natural and beautiful .

nothin' is good...not the color ...not the taste...just kidin'....

I think its to hide their ugly and dry lips. Even without lipstick we can make it GlossY and JuicY

From ancient times women wear make up to look more pretty, beautiful and attractive. You must have seen the mummy of Cleopetra. Her coffin shows the face of an egyptian lady wearing make up. Jewellery and make up is an old tradition of humans which only women have done just to look more pretty like humans invented mirror just to look how they are looking like.
