Last night, U.S. forces captured an Iranian embassy in Iraq, and too all of the ambassadors there prisoner. Attacking a diplomatic post, by international law and recognition is the same as attacking its home country. Does this crazy man, whom I unfortunately call president, plan on starting world war III? Did he fry all of his brains on coke in his younger years? Is he having some great Christian delusion--is he trying to start the apocalypse? And, better still, how can so many people blindly follow this man, who lied to get us in this war, has a fighting two wars in neighboring countries, and now attacks the territory of another nation? By definition, do republicans and conservatives want all Americans to hated by everyone around the globe or what?

You think detaining Iranian consulates in Iraq is enough for World War III? That's pretty melodramatic...
What about threatening to wipe Israel of the face of the Earth? Funding terrorists in Iraq? Supplying weapons and funding Hizbollah attacks on Israel?
What about ignoring the global community and continuing to build a nuclear weapons programs despite international pressure and the destablizing effect it would have?
That's Iran, and THAT is more along the lines of "trying to start world war III".
Remember when Iran took all those hostages in the AMerican embassy in 1979? Held them for 444 days? Did the US attack Iran over it? No. Was there a World War III afterwards? No. And were we even at war back then? No.
Make sure the complete story is being told.
And what does that have to do with Christianity?

I think he is. Than goodness is will be out of office soon. I can't wait to get rid of him so that this stupid war in Iraq can stop and things can go back to being almost peaceful.

I've realized lately that it doesn't do anyone any good to blame. However, war has never been successful at putting an end to violence or hate. The ancients knew, in what we might call common sense, that violence begets violence.
