The President of United States of America is still sending troops to Iraq on a regular basis. Is Iraq war an utter waster of sources, economy and human life due to personal rivalry or can it be considered to be genuine after George Bush's decision of improving his stand in Iraq by pumping in more money, arms n ammunition and troops?? What is your opinion on this??

I was always against the invasion of Iraq, by both the US & UK. Having said that, I really don't know what can be done to put the matters right, but simply walking away seems as morally repugnant to me, as going in in the first place.
What respect can the people of any nation have, if they allow their politicians to simply destroy another persons country, for no reason, and then sit back and do nothing to rebuild it.
As I say, I don't know the answer, if I had a timemachine or magic wand, I'd try to make it so the Iraqi conflict never happened. Saddam was evil, but so are many world leaders, and we call them friend, if it benefits us to. Some world leaders are lovely to their own people, but act in an evil way to peoples abroad!
I don't know if arms, ammuntion and troops are the right way forward, but it is our moral responsibility (in both the UK & US) to spend however many £s and $s it takes to reinstate security, water supplies and an economy for the Iraqi people, whether Sunni, Shia or Kurd. I have no objection to my taxes going towards such an expense.

Thank you, it makes me feel much better about the human race, to know there are other people out there who take moral responsibility, and to look after others, not just themselves. Good luck, and thank you for airing this point.

It's a ridiculous waste of effort and resources and we should just leave Iraq to it, saddam's gone and there will be another to replace someone like him so soldiers are dying, british and americans and any others caught in between all for some cause that the bushy one has forseen whilst playing golf.
Ridiculous!!??

I personally do not think that at this stage, US should leave Iraq to it. Now that it has captured Iraq and siezed the economy and Government machinery, it should try to stabilize the government by electing a leader from among people of Iraq who should act as the Prime Minister or President, or whatever US decides. But US should make haste in doin that. If at this stage, US completely removes its troops from Iraq, civil wars will break out everywhere in the country among religious groups and many innocent Iraqi civilians will die. So US, at this stage, should try to rebuild the economy of Iraq.

No,the iraq is not at all justified.Bush has just attacked iraq just to fulfill his ego.
The main reason in the begining for attacking is to find out if they are having any biological weapons of mass destruction.Once they found that there were no such weapons they could have come back. But they ended up killin saddam hussein and completely destroying iraq which was very placed till then. They have compltely shattered the economy of iraq.Bush is an egoistic idiot.

Western countries neither produce, use, or research such weapons... We have signed laws/accords regarding that....

What the politicians never had the guts to admit, is that the real reason they thought Iraq had WMDs was because they had sold them to that country.
If Western nations didn't profiteer, by developing and selling such evil forms of weapon, dictators would not be able to get them.

Mrniceguy, please think before answerring. Powerful countries like yours, and to a lesser extent mine, sign treaties and then ignore them. Just look at the nuclear anti-proliferation treaty - who sold Israel and India their nuclear capabilities? The US & UK! Despite being signed up to the treaty.
When Anthrax was found within the US Postal system, the first test the FBI carried out was to establish whether this strain of Anthrax was the type the US had sold to Iraq (under Saddam), in which case they would have been looking at Islamic Terrorism. It wasn't. In fact, the only people who had access to the strain within the postal system were the Pentagon.
In the UK, we still carry out testing of toxic & viral illnesses for military use at Aldermaston.
I do not understand whether your response is innocent naivety, or whether you represent some organisation with an agenda!

The war was never justified. Just look at the speeches made my Bush and his Sec of Defense and you will hear them talking about WMDs and Al-qaeda in Iraq. It has now been proven that Iraq had no WMDs and everyone can also see that Al-qaeda and Saddam had no links. In fact, now after the war, Al-qaeda has found a safe haven in Iraq.
The war is a crime against humanity!
