have been a sox fan probably about 20 yrs or so, came up to southern maine from kansas, so first allegiance was to the royals. but longer i stayed here, the more the sox started stealing my heart and now am a die hard sox fan, for sure. i even had a vanity plate--lvnomar for a while, lol

Hey there! I've been a Red Sox fan all my life. I hail from Connecticut but lived in Newton, Mass and used to take the green line to Fenway ALL the time as a youngster. Jim Rice was my favorite player, but he has been usurped by none other than BIG PAPI!!!! I follow prospects for all teams, so if you want to know who's going to be a star either for the Bosox or for another team, I can give you a scoop. I climbed onto the bandwagon a season before they won the world series. It finally dawned upon me. If The RedSox Nation hate the New York Yankees as much as I do, I should be cheering for them.And I liked Nomar, Manny and Big Papi and the rest of the guys. My home team is the Nationals, I like them too but Boston is the only American League team I root for.

Right now, I leve in Asheville, NC. I first became a Red Sox fan in 1967 when I was twelve years old. Even though I lived in Maryland, I never liked the Orioles and the Senators just plain stunk. I delivered the Washington Post every morning and always read the sports pages before I put the papers in my bike basket and headed out on my route. Following the story of their impossible dream year made me a fan forever. Before I moved to Asheville I lived in Vermont and joined in the excitement and disappointments of those years. Years that culminated in the World Series Championship of 2005!

I have only been a red sox fan for a few years but I'm a die hard now and it's all my husband's fault. He told me the whole story about the curse and had me read all these articles online. I don't miss a game now and I wish I had started becoming interested in baseball much sooner. I would like to see them win another world series but even if they don't I'll still be a die hard GO RED SOX!!
