Have you decided to lay off the sugar and salt in your food this year?

Make sure it doesn't mean that your food ends up tasting bland. Using it more herb and spices and fewer traditional seasonings like sugar, salts and fats cannot only help to boost overall health benifits, but also improve the flavour of the food we eat on a daily basis.
Can you tell me your staple food? And what do you eat inorder to keep you healthy?

I like to eat anything that is teasty, but with all the processed food around it seems that anything without salt or fat seems rather bland to the tastebuds. However, I realised that after eating Indian and Chinese food which uses lots of herbs and spices, my taste buds are tantalised, meaning that spices can flavour food well enough to be palatable if used correctly.
