Building a pc!!!

I know building a PC is easy (and i really mean easy) plus it would cost you less and give you an understanding of your machine (for future upgrades) my question is this, "If you have a certain make of motherboard, do the other components need to be by the same manufacturer"? I will be building my own custom pc very soon n i just want to know that incase i put the wrong thing and it blows up..

i think it is would not a problem to build your personal computer (PC) using different motherboard, graphic card, memory(RAM), hard drive, optical drive, casing, power supply, mouse, keyboard, monitor, and other components manufacturer or brands. so if you want to build your PC you can ask me if you have any problem with it. Hopefully you can build a great personal computer with value but high end.

well i will say that it needn't be the that way.........only thing u got to look is that the components u buy for ur mother board should be compatible to it...i mean if u buy a amd mother board u got to but the processor that belongs to amd and specifically desined for that board......the rest of the components like RAM HARDDISK ETc....can be ur choice and check the manual for supportewd products

It depends on compatibility, when you are going to replace some other brand hardware with ur current brand, u need to read manual for both, if u dont have the manual then search on their respective brand sites, to see if there are some issues involved or not ! Gerneally its not a problem, u can do in non-branded pc's as well as branded pc's

When you are considering a motherboard, the only component that you really need to match with it is the processor. Each processor requires a certian type of socket. For example, Intel's Core processors require socket M. So you should think about what kind of processor you want when choosing a motherboard. One other important thing to consider is slots and ports. If you are considering a special type of graphics card, you need to make sure that that your board supports that card.

nope you can mix and match different parts from different manufacturers unless stated in the hardwares manual that it's not compatible with a certain brand... :) Good Luck
