So we're getting a higher minimum wage to replace the one we recieved ten years ago. In another thread, the result of higher prices has been brought up, but I'm wondering something...
Ok, the minimum wage has been flat for ten years. Have prices been the same for the last ten years? Nope. What's the corporations' excuses for that?
On top of that, George W. Bush gave big business huge tax cuts a few years ago. Did the corporations pass those savings on to the consumer by either lowering prices or at least keeping prices the same? Nope. What's their excuses for that?
I'm not talking about small businesses. They tend to have a much smaller profit margin and don't have execs making tens of millions of dollars a year.

Eventually, I think the prices of things will rise because of the pay rate increase. It is economics and it is inevitable. Just like prices risisng because of gas rising. At least we are getting a litte break, though.

Yeah, I know prices will be raised and the higher minimum wage will be blamed for it.
I'm wondering what their excuse has been during these past ten years where the minimum wage has stayed flat, and on top of that big corporations have gotten a huge tax cut.
Well, really, I'm basically saying it's a BS excuse, and corporations would do just fine even if they kept their prices the same or even lowered them.
