Is it now within the best interests of the US for Bush and Cheney to resign?

Their ideas were bad to begin with, and have continued to get worse. The resignation of both men - would it benefit the US for them to do so?

I think they'd both have to go. If bush gets impeached (which i doubt), then cheney is prez.
