I would like to tell you about one of the most "known" (I've put inverted commas since people tend to know house music by linking it to everything that goes on a disco) style of music, I obviously mean: HOUSE MUSIC.
Let's start by the begining. There is a great deal of controversy surrounding the origins of house music. Some claim that the name came from the underground parties, mostly done on Warehouses, done in Chicago during the 70's and 80's while on the other hand, some Dj's claim that the term "house" comes from the fact that DJ actualy made music up on their rooms and houses. However and dispite the controversy, it is now known as House any kind of electronic music that is built on a prominent 4/4 beat.
The House Music industry has been growing for almost five decades, starting back to the 1960's. DJ's claim that house music, as we know it nowadays, was born on the late 1970's and was created in Chicago by the local Dj's. After almost 4 decades, house music has changed, as well as the techniques, the DJ's and the fans..The only thing that remains is the feeling that not everyone understands it, it's a feeling, a spiritual thing, a body thing..even a soul thing..
