I stop at the grocery store yesterday after yet another long day at work. I went to the same store I normally go (the one with the cheaper items so I can get my moneys worth to feed my 3 kids on a single income) Anyway, I go to pick up some quick items milk, bread, cereal, etc. I try to make my way to the front of the store to check out only to realize the lines wrap around the frozen food isle way on the other side of the store. There are 6 out of 8 lines open and EVERY last one of them got people in them with 1,2 & YES even 3 buggys FULL of food. ARE YOU SERIOUS??? Now, I for one don't like long lines, but here I am with about 20 items in my cart if I am lucky and these people got cartfulls. I buy 1 or 2 cans of something, while they are buying CASES. If that's not bad enough, they have new clothes, top of the line cell phones, more jewelry than Mr.T, and there are all kind of newer cars (I'm talking Lexus,Mercedes,Hummers, etc) in the lot out front. Now, had they been payin with cash, credit cards hey I wouldn't mind, but what is this....HA HA HA Oh this is a joke right....they are paying with ACCESS cards. Now those who don't know what this is, it is a card given to welfare recipients. EVERY family I saw with these cartfulls had one of these cards. Then they walk around the store eating the grapes, bananas, drinking sodas off the shelf and setting them in the isles so they dont have to pay for these things. WHAT MAY I ASK IS THIS???? I AM SICK AND TIRED OF WORKING 40+ HOURS A WEEK WHILE YALL SIT AT HOME ACTING LIKE YOU DON'T HAVE A "BABY'S DAD" (MEANWHILE HE LIVES WITH YOU)AND COLLECTING (MOOCHING REALLY) OFF THE GOVERNMENT THAT I HAVE TO GIVE MONEY TO EVERY WEEK. Now, if this went to an actual needy person (such as elderly, special needs individual, etc.)I wouldn't mind, but let's get real here. YALL ARE JUST LAZY AND I AM TIRED OF IT!

A large percentage of those on welfare are working. The "lazy" welfare recipient is a stereotype. Don't judge others till you have walked in their shoes.

I am NOT saying EVERYONE on welfare is a "loser". I am saying this....if you can afford to have gold on your ears, fingers, wrists,& neck, you can afford to drive a newer car,and you can afford to buy high end brand name clothing....why CAN'T you afford to buy the SAME kind of food I buy...Hot dogs, mac & cheese, cereal, etc? I am a single mother of 3. I raise my children by myself working full time. Is it hard yes, but I manage. I don't know where you live but where I live, these people stay up all hours of the night making noise so it's hard for me to sleep for work, they hang out on their porches all day while their kids run around in dirty diapers down the inner city streets, no shoes on, dirty faces, etc. AGAIM, I am NOT saying ALL, but the fact is MANY here are NOT working...they are mooching!

wow...interesting. ive never experienced this before. i do all my grocery shopping online and have it delivered at home so i avoid lines at all costs. i bet this is so annoying. our welfare program is broken and something has to be done about it. i dont know what but it is just so hard to see the poor never wanting to get out of where they are because the government is helping them stay where they are at. i can sympathize with you. how frustrating that must be.
sorry to hear about your bad day and please rant all you want. i hope that made you feel better.

I agree with you and I have seen it. The are on welfare and buying lottery tickets. I was a cashier at a place that sold them and they didnt just by one, but 50 to 100 dollars worth when the jackpot was big. I figure if they are on some form of welfare they dont have to be getting all of it. then then dont need to be gambling.
