Do you think Sehwag should be dropped and Sourav Ganguly put back as opener?

sehwag is an dangerous opener..he is out of doesn't really mean all the the odds should be against him.as for ganguly he should really open again because he was performing really well as an opener but he sacrificed himself for sehwag and what does he get in return........... sacked from the team, disgraced, humiliated

i think the way saurav has made a come back he should open the innings.

Well personally i think sachin-saurav was the best opening pair in terms of getting good'n'steady start.But sehwag-sachin are good for getting fast'n'destructive starts though sehwag these days seems good for nothing. But sehwag can't be dropped just before the world cup as he was in guru greg's plans for the world cup right from the start. I feel sehwag-sachin should be opening with ganguly coming one down and dravid batting at 4 to stabilize the innings in middle overs after either good starts or bad starts.I'm really hoping that this year all our batters come into form together and show the whole world in the world cup what all things we are capable of and there's no talent lost.

ya i too think so that sachin - sourav should again be given the chance to act as openers.and sehwag should be given some rest.the way ganguly has made a comeback ,he should be saluted and his hardwork should be paid off to.he is trying to prove his mettle as he still has a lot in him. n the poor performance shown by sehwag in the recent matches prompt us to say that he would have to prove his caliber again if he wants to be safe in the indian cricket team.

No I don't think so as Saurav is a good spin player & feels somewhat uncomfortable with the pacers.So I will go for Sehwag & Sachin to open the innings in one dayers

its a very interesting qusetion and im sure the one which every one in india is wondering about. for this question to be answered, i belive we hae to look at two things: first ofcourse is the past record and there is absolutely no doubt that sachin-ganguly pair has been the best for india for a long long time. the second thing that you should look at is the current form of players. sehwag has had a very poor run for the last two or three tours on a trot. but then sachins form is also questionable. does this mean that we need a new opening pair. i dont think so. while sehwag has shown very poor form off late, sachin has shown glimpses of his old self, though failing to capitalise on anyhting. so india should persist with their long time favotire opening pair of sachin-ganguly!

Ganguly-sachin has been proven performers and have been the best openers, they should be tried again and sehwag should be made to bat down the order as he seems to play old ball better then new ball

Under the present circumstances i would agree with you that sehwag should be dropped any ganguly should be given a chance.I dont think sehwag is dangerous in the middle overs becuse its in the first 15 overs he builts his innings and he just carries over.

Ya you are right... sehwag should be dropped and saurav is back in the team.. this means that sehwag and pathan should utilize their time what they have got in practicing so gud that they come back and put their wheels in for the world cup

i think sehwag should be used as allrounder just as andrew symonds for austrailia sehwag has a weak technique against swinging ball

loocking to gangulys form in the last test serise and in the ranji match i think ganguly shuold put in backwith sachin.and sehwag should be dropped to no 3 or4 position.
