How many pens/pencils do you go through in a week?

Here in my house with myself and the girls, we go through at least 12 a week. If I don't lose one, then one of the kids will. They also like to take them to school,(where they should have plenty I have bought for them there) and leave them. I keep telling my husband we should buy stock in pencils and hair brushes, since those are something else we can't keep up with here.

I have these jars for storing pens around my house. I have one jar in every room so whenever I randomly find pens and pencils lying around in my home, I put them in a nearby jar. It's really handy and that way I always have a supply to use!!

Pens I can keep until the ink runs out. Pencils I seem to use just a few times and then it is gone. There are no kids in the house now and no other adult who uses pencils. My dog can't write either, so I have decided I have a pencil ghost. LOL

My pens/pencils usually last for months if I don't lose them somewhere. I also like drawing a lot even though I didn't have much time to do it lately but anyway I don't go get another pen/pencil frequently when I have one.

I don't really write too much with pens and pencils. If I do any writing, I usually sit down at my computer and type everything out. If I have to however, I will resort to pens..I'm not too fond of pencils.

I have so many pens I can't keep track of how long they last me lol. I have an addiction and it's pen collecting. Anytime there is an opportunity for me to score free pens or buy bulkloads of pens on sale, I jump on it. And as a result I have so many pens floating around I have no clue how long I've had them. I think I end up throwing away pens when they've finally dried up lol. It almost makes me curious about how long it would take me to use up a pen, but I'm sure if I tried to commit to using only ONE pen, I would misplace it within the first ten minutes. I might be too absent minded for it.

When I was working I would go through one ever 2 weeks, and it would actually run out of ink. I would put a flower on the pen that was mine. When people needed a pen to sign their name, I would get one from the holder for them. They could not use my pen. My pen was for my own personal use and not for others.

As I keep on buying pens so I have a large number of them always, I also do lose them but still I have in plenty.

I don't go through too many as I usually use the computer for most of my correspondence. Whether email or printing out. I do have a nice collection of pens though :)

I don't often use pens or pencils, but I don't write with my hands mostly do to the fact that I have Cerebral Palsy, a nurological impairment that doesn't effect mental abilities, but makes it hard to do physical things like write by hand or talk somewhat.

It's rare that i use pencils,Mind you i should with all the mistakes i make when i write something with ink and than have to restart all over again due to an error lol.At work were supplied pens but i somehow manage to lose 1 pen a day.I go somewhere or to someones desk and than forget where my pen is.I buy at home pens and my family sometimes misplaces them and 1 month later we cant find a pen in the house.So your not the only one trust me.

I love writing stuff too and paper. But like you I can not ever keep up with a pen or pencil! Everytime I'm out somewhere and need apen I can never find one in my purse, the car or anywhere! And the same thing in the house. Just let someone call and I need to write something down really quick...no pen or pencil to be found and I have a bunch of them....just can't find them when I need them.

we at our home lose pens quite often.....but we find them(with the other family member-my sister usually picks up mine)with half of the ink gone. lol. P.S. it is good to know there are people who like using pen and paper. i posted a discussion recently to know how many of myloters use pen and paper often.

I have the SAME problem! I loose my pens! I have TONS though TONS AND TONS! Going through them though doesnt happen more like I need a new one cause I lost the old one. I think its fun to get pens when I can. But I have SO many right now I gotta hold back till I at least either loose *L* or use those up first! I dont get costly ones but ones that work well. I love those by "Bic" the ones "round stic GRIP med." they come in purple, blue and black. I LOVE all three colors! And they dont cost more than a $1.00 for like 12 I think? Might be a bit more than $1.00. Yeah anyways love the pens! :))

regarding pens i have some...i really loves writing.taking down notes..thats why i have a good penmanship lol!i collect pens i store it in a particular place.if its not working i treasure the body of that pen just to use it for the next new pens i bought.

I juat have a pen and a pencil and normally my pen lasts for 2 mnths and pencil 1 month

I go through around a hundred pens a day. I buy them by the box and then buy more to keep up with the ones I lose. It just seems I can't keep them. Maybe the cat takes off with them. I am not sure.
