I've read all his books, but Naked is by far my favorite- it's a bunch of stories about his younger days. Some of my favorite stuff in there is about when he went hitch hiking all the way to Washington and worked picking apples.
His stories about his childhood are pretty funny too.

I love Me Talk Pretty One Day. His writing style is smooth and it never fails to elicit a chuckle. He's one of the few gifted contemporary writers.

Not only is this book amazing for all readers, but I have suggested it to a few of my friends that asked me what some good books are for people that do not do a lot of reading and are trying to get back into it. It's fun and it holds your interest. Another great thing about this and all short story compilations is that you don't have to finish it if you decide that you just don't have the time or get too distracted with something else. You can always pick it back up later and not be lost.

I love all of his books, especially "Naked," "Me Talk Pretty One Day" and "The Santaland Diaries." I have his CD "Live at Carnegie Hall," too. I enjoyed reading about David's job as an elf at Macy's, as well as his time in France and the adventures of his brother Paul (a.k.a. The Rooster, Silly P.)
