Who is a better guitarist?

slash........ hammet has the tendency to go off tune live... i think that slash is way better... and stage presence..... nothing beats slash... that way hammet is a non entity... when metallica is playing.. its the vocals and the drumming that are good at live shows... with an exception of S&m... i think hammet is seconf comparede to slash

Difficult question. They just play totally two different music, I don't think one owns the other, but when I prefer one guitarist it's because of the music they made, so that would be Slash.

Slash my love my live my inspiration my everything, man slash is considered as the best guitarist of all time. Slash - Paul gilbert - Yngwie malmsteen are on the top. Metallica is terrific either, I had never heared krik hammet. Though I go with Slash.
