Family or career

Which is better, family life or a good career. Can U have the best of both worlds? I've sacrificed my career for family. I'm not sure if we could also have a decent job without compromising with family life. Can experienced people tell me if family life is more rewarding or career? I know it's all in one's perspective, but in the long run, which helps in happiness?

Happiness comes from within - from living a fulfilled life. You will not be happy sacrificing family for career and vice versa. Both have their place. That said, if you, dear readers, have not started a family and do not feel the urge to do so, then by all means concentrate on career. But if you have already started a family, like VidBal, then you owe it to your families to spend some quality time with them. Also maybe you need to concentrate on money management, managing your money better so that you can get a passive income quickly. Try Rich Dad Poor Dad for some insights into money. Once you have a passive income, you will hopefully have more time for your family.

Thanx, that was a wonderful piece of advice, full of solace. Will definitely try to get hold of the book. I've also heard about it from a few other people. I'm doing short term investments right now(with my husband's money of course) but hope to make it a career by doing day trading in a few months time. Any tips?
