HIV is the name of the virus which cause the fatal disease AIDS. HIV stands for Human Immuno Virus. AIDS stands for Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome. HIV cannot thrive in water, but once it enters the human body, it attacks the immune system of the body which allows various pathogenic germs to enter our body without any restriction. Slowly, as the HIV spreads, the immuno system decreses in its functioning until it completly fails. At this stage, a person may die from anything as mild as a cold. This is the reason why this disease is considered so deadly, with no cure as yet.
