My son @11 years old suffers from milk alergy. Is there a chance to get out of this disturbing situation ? Do you know about an effective medicine or other treatment that can provide a quick relief once he accidently consumed milk?

Prevention is the best cure here. Just take utmost care that your child don't consume milk. I am also not aware of any medicine that helps. One of my family members had this same problem and we didn't find anything actually useful. We consulted the doctor too and it was his advice that avoiding is the best we could do. So just take care of your child and prevent him from taking milk is all I can say. Hope it helps. Take care.

I am not aware of any medicines that you can take to "cure" milk allergy. But there is some research that suggests that if you give children very small quantities of powdered milk on a regular basis, you can gradually build up their tolerance to milk so that if they were to consume it accidentally, they would not suffer so much. The easiest solution, though, is obviously to take as much care as possible to make sure that your son doesn't consume milk in the first place.

theres a product called Lactaid that helps with the digestion of milk for people with lactose intolerance. However i recall you need to take the pills BEFORE consuming a milk product for them to work properly. I'm lactose intolerant and eating anything dairy causes me pain - i tend to just avoid the dairy products with lactose - yogurt and cheese because of the way they are processed have less to none than other dairy products.

I dont bother looking at the age of a discussion when i respond if it interests me i respond if it doesnt interest me i dont. If Everyone put a time limit on responses then theres alot of discussions that would never get answered.
