What's your favourite chinese food?

Whenever I have a chinese take-away I always end up having exactly the same thing and am starting to bore myself with it now, what's your fave dish? Do you always have the same or try something different?

I like the pepper beef and the szechuan duck. I like all the hot and spicy stuff. I do not mind trying different things tho... I like the way they do not cook the vegatables to much. That make it tast good and fresh! I just stay away from the pork!

There are a lot of things here that I have never tried, and suggestions that others have given. I, also like spicy food, I think that the next time I go for chinese, I might try some, although, I do not know when that will be, because I just had it yesterday...

That rings a bell for me too! Whenever we go to our local 'eat as much as you like' chinese takeaway I ALWAYS without exception have the same courses! I love sesame toast and crispy seaweed followed by crispy duck which is one of my favourite dishes, then special fried rice, sweet and sour pork and chicken and mushroom, I think the waiters know what I want off by heart now! I'm not very adventurous when it comes to tasting new foods so I'm a creature of habit in more ways than one.

I used to have salt and pepper ribs, duck, sweet sour chicken batter everytime i had a chinese and found each time i was enjoying them less and less. I hate to try new things of the menu incase i feel disappointed. So when i ordered from the chinese i explained that i only really loved chicken and things very hot along with some other prefrences and let the chef come up with a receipe for me and i was not disappointed as it had everything i love in, u shud find that they are accomodating cause they want your custom.

I don't try too many new things unless I go to a Chinese food buffet, which are quite common here in the States. I am willing to try anything at a buffet! My favorites incluse Walnut chicken, Sweet and Sour chicken, and Egg Drop Soup.

crabmeat rangoon are my favorites! Also am a big fan of Seasame Chicken. As for rice, I like the plain white rice instead of the fried rice.

I am not the biggest fan of chinese food, only because it is usually too greasy, the meat is not really meat, and then, it can be dirty or reheated whenever I order it. But, sometimes, I am lucky and it tastes absolutely perfect. The good thing is, that I make really great stir-fry at home, so then I don't have to worry about what is really going on with the dish. Usually, other than chow mein, which is like a staple, I get kung pao chicken, which a friend of mine got me addicted to...if you are allergic to peanuts, then I don't recommend eating it. It is spicy. Then, there is orange chicken, but I don't eat that as much as I used to. My ultimate fav though, is chicken egg rolls, but if they don't have them, then I will settle for spring rolls. If, I go to an Asian cuisine restaurant, then I order different things, but we are just discussing chinese...but, that does not mean that I don't recommend going to Asian cuisine restaurants, because I do...there are other asian foods tastier and cleaner than the chinese (no offense to them). Actually, the Japanese are known to be the cleanest asians, and so is their cooking....try that.

I have quite a few favorite dishes when it comes to chinese food. I sometimes like to try new dishes.. But with my personal experience every time I have decided to do this it ended up turning out bad. So I usually try to stick with the dishes that I do know, as well as enjoy. We don't order chinese food on a regular basis but when we decide to do so.. We always end up getting chicken fried rice, dry garlic ribs, sweet & sour pork, special chow mein, beef & broccoli, wonton soup, among a few other dishes. The three dishes that seem to stand out for me would most definitely have to be: Chicken fried rice, dry garlic ribs & wonton soup though.. I don't know what it is about chicken fried rice but I've always been a big fan of the stuff! I just love the flavor that it has.. And how when you have sweet & sour pork you can mix the sauce from that dish in with the rice.. I find that makes it to be even more tastier! . . We used to go to this one restaurant though & they wouldn't make fresh food but would instead re-warm all there food.. We ended up ordering from them for years but they treated us poorly one time.. And we decided to go somewhere else.. And this new place we order from when we decide we want chinese.. Has very yummy food & it's also very fresh! There's nothing better then fresh chinese food in my opinion! I'll never go back to that place we used to go to now.. I know me & my other half had tried to make wonton soup by ourselfs from scratch.. And the dough ended up being to thick & there was more dough then filling.. I still want to learn how to make chinese food though as I think it would be interesting to learn how to fold the wontons correctly & so forth.. Chinese food has to be one of my favorite foods out there.. But I don't eat it on a regular basis.. We only order it when we want a little treat! . .

I make my own chinese dishes at home. Chow meins and rices and wonton soup and such. And I buy egg rolls and chicken balls and whatnot frozen at the grocery store and just heat them up for dinner. So we actually go to a chinese food restuarant or order in, I always get egg foo young and lots of it because that is my favorite chinese food and yet I haven't learned how to make it myself yet...if anyone out there has a good.. easy recipe for egg foo young I'd love to hear it...

I love combination egg foo young. Maybe it's the gravy? Or maybe the crunchy sprouts? I'm not sure, but I have always loved it. My mother used to order this a lot when we would eat chinese growing up and I guess I developed my love of the dish then. I also enjoy General Tso's chicken, very spicy.

Ohhh i do that all the time. I love chicken fried rice and garlic chicken and sometimes get fed up of eating the same thing. What I do is change any one of my fav dishes so if I dont like the new dish that i've ordered I have my fav dish as back up. Chicken fried rice is one dish that i just cannot resist. If someone else is eating it, i need to have just a small bowl to satisfy my taste buds and no matter how much i tell my self it'll ruin my diet my taste buds dont listen :P

I do the same thing. Scared I will try something I don't like. My favorites are crab rangoon which has a cream cheese, green onion, and crab filling then fried, General Tso's chicken which is sweet and spicy. I also love the szechuan chicken. Egg rolls, spring rolls with hot mustard!
