IS Ragging in college important or not????????????????

This is a topic on which everone might be having an opinion on!!!!!!!!!!Freely speaking i m in support of ragging...only in the sense that it hould be meant to develope mental stability amoung our juniors.....it should never tend to a "Torture".What do u people think?????????
