Why is it that the good people are always the ones to suffer more?

Have you ever noticed that the pesons who are actually really good at heart are the ones to suffer the most. I've this cousin with a golden heart, she is genuinely interested in helping out people and do whatever good she can. But she is so good that now people have this whats-wrong-wtih-her attitude which is very saddening. Why is it that its the good ones that are tested the most?
