How do you feel about the fact that NY City has banned trans fat in restaurants? I think this law is a violation of the constitution. Why can't people just be responsible for themselves instead of the government deciding what is best for everyone. I think we have let our nation down by allowing this to pass. If I want to eat trans fat by the spoonful I should be able to. The only companies this will hurt are the smaller restaurants, not McDonald's. Tell me how you feel.

This reminds me of "Demolition Man" (1993). Everything that is bad for you was made illegal. Not something to look forward to.

I disagree with everyone's responses. Trans fats are killers, that's all there is too it. Fast food, cookies, cakes, and pastries that are laden with trans fat are addictive, and detrimental to your health. The ban is necessary, because without it people will be too stupid to stop consuming trans fat-filled food, and heart disease will continue to rise to insane numbers. The fact that New York City has enough concern to ban trans fats will encourage the billionaire companies to invent tasty, less lethal products that won't kill their customers.

I think the law is stupid. Do you know how many things have transfat in them? Govt should not get involved in stuff like that.

McDonald's has been working on alternatives to trans fats for years, before the NYC law came into effect.
They just announced this week that they will start frying their french fries in trans fat free oil.
I don't understand how this could be a violation of the Constitution...
