Hubby and i just saw the movie "The Queen" and to be honest im not very impressed at all it really is quite upsetting...Referring to the British People as "Zulu's" as they formed outside Buckingham Palace to lay flowers for Princess Diana. To have Tony Blair tell the Queen to fly the flag at half mast in respect for Diana as 1 out of 4 people were prepared to rid the Monarchy because the Queen didnt want to do this. I myself appreciated what Diana had to offer she was a beautifull person. However i never thought the Queen could be so cold, and not to mention Prince Phillips comments and nasty views on Diana and the British Public.... i mean do the British Public agree that they were in a moment of temporary insanity for showing emotion on the death of Diana and wanting the Queen to aknowledge the British Public for the loss of the "Peoples Princess"?
To know that the Queen and Prince Phillip only made public a viewing where the flowers were laid in front of Buckingham Palace (to just keep the peace and save the monarchy) and Prince Charles only being emotional because he was worried about being assasinated.... one thing he did say was true was that Diana was a proud mother and a good mother as she adored her sons.
I dont know if you have seen the movie as yet, but if you have i would love to know what your view is.
Normally i dont go by what the media say too much....and i do no it is just a 'movie' however, for a movie to be made in regards to the Queen they would have to have some facts wouldnt they?
So basically what i am asking you is your view on the movie .. what are your thoughts?
