I have a 2 yr old son and all of the sudden he is afraid of the water. He used to love bathtime and playing in the water. Now he doesnt want a bath or shower. We even went to a water park a couple weeks ago and he didnt want anything to do with that either. Any suggestions?

When my grandson was two, he went through the same thing. I think it's one of those age and stages type things and they all go through it. We started to make bathtime more fun, and now he loves the tub! (Sometimes we even have trouble getting him to get out, lol) We got bubble bath, and those soap crayons (the kind that you can write on the tub with.) We also got some water toys like the kind where you pour the water in from the top and it makes a little wheel and stuff go around. He also has his own child sized watering can, a (new) turkey baster from the dollar store, and his own whisk (like you use for cooking.) We showed him how to use the whisk to make more bubbles in the tub. He also has some little boats that he floats sometimes. If you have one of those suction cup plastic no-slip bath mats on the bottom of the tub, he won't feel like he's slipping on the shiny surface of the tub. Good luck!

Thanks so much. I am going to try the bath crayons and see if that makes a difference. He has bath toys but they are rubber ducks and cups and a basketball net. Maybe something new would help. Thanks again!

I didn't know about this-next time I see you I will give you some bath paint that I made. We dont use it. I have green and purple. Or you can make some yourself. It's just baby bath soap, conrstarch and food coloring.
