Hi friends Barring the ICSE and CBSE standards, the condition of the state board of TamilNadu is very bad....They are in the process of making parrots who are just mugging up the portions watever and vomitting it in the paper....i mean the situation is pathetic...there is no room for innovation at all...and the colleges have bcome worse than schools wat with novices who do not have sufficient knowledge and the one who hasnt got any job bcoming lecturers and professors....i mean the standard of education is again affected there....and this follows a vicious cycle...And now they are gonna scrap the Entrance Exam too which in itself was well below standards but still looked somewat justified...but now that is also gone...wat can be done against this mindless act of the Govt??Is there anyway of representation to the government that can be made so that they can be made to understand the making of parrots????Come up with ur answers plz....plz do not use any unparliamentary words....

well u r right......i quite agree with u abt the pathetic state of education in our country....But do u think mere suggestions in the topic alone will help...the basic problem lies in the education board and the method of teaching....which is being followed traditionally without giving much thought to innovation of students....to bring a change there should be a revolution and the main problem is the govt always make these changes/reforms very slowly that it reduces the effect of the reforms....the change should be fast...instead of teachers forcing students to mug up from text books they should be taught in a more practical manner where there would be less interaction between students and books. They should enjoy studying as a good learning experience rather than worrying abt the loads of books they carry. They should try other methods of teaching followed in other countries where these methods are a success

ok sorry i didnt read ur post properly...We can bring these to the notice of the Govt if the media co-operates...thanks to news channels like NDTV where Debates on such topics are carried on but i doubt that it will help any further....people will debate abt it for a few days when another important news comes up sparking up a new debate like 'should hollywood stars adopt african babies?'....i m not trying to b pessimistic here...for me media seems to b the only hope for making aware of such problems u have stated....but this is not the only news that media seems to be interested in
