I have attempted plenty of time to use chop sticks and I can honestly say I am no good at it. It's very difficult for me.

For most of the Chinese people in my country we don’t find any difficulty in using chopsticks unless those who were not brought up to use chopsticks since young. It is quite easy and convenient to eat noodles with chopsticks.

Chopsticks takes practice. When my oldest daughter was in school the teacher did a cultural study session and one of them was oriental and the kids had to learn to use chopsticks. My daughter was so facinated with it that she had us go buy chopsticks and when ever we ate Chow Mein we had to use them. It gets easier with practice.

i've never had any real trouble eating with chopsticks.when you're hungry i guess you'll always find a way around your difficulties.the reason westerners use a knife at the table is mainly due to the western diet.a large proportion of the typical western meal will be meat in one or several large pieces, and it must be cut into small pieces while being eaten.chinese food, on the other hand,is cut up in the kitchen before being cooked, so a knife is unnecessary at the chinese dinner table.
