Because no woman has done anything worth mentioning. Only joking before all the women on here come after me. There are some famous women from history but in general men have run the world for the past several thousand years and as a result most of the important events in history will have been done by men.

LOL, this looks familiar. I will give you the same answer as on duno. Because men wrote history!

Because women have only been able to vote in the US in the last 100years prior to that they had no real standing and were considered the same as any livestock owned by the man. Would they give a woman credit for anything she might have done? No because it would lower their standards and make men look foolish. Women did a lot but who knows how many of their history has been taken over by the man who took the credit for her discovery or whatever historical thing she might have done. Even in the Bible women are only mentioned when they had to have a women to show men what they should not do. And in other religions its even worse some say women cant be in the building with men, that they must cover themselves, that they cant go if they are on their period, cant be there if not wearing a burka or hajib, and on and on. Women have been more persecuted than men for centuries and it hasnt stopped yet. Women are still chattel in some countries and have no rights. In middle east women can be stoned in the street for being raped. Men virtually own the women there and make them wear burkas because the men cant control themselves if they see the women. At least thats my interpretation of why they do that.
