how long before i can ask her out

hey guys there is this girl i really like... she is a good friend of mine... she has just gotten out of a relationship... she really liked that guy a lot but things really went bad between them... she talks to me about the problems they had... how long do u think should i wait before i ask her out... or should i not ask her out at all... please help

I suggest you let her heal her wounds first. Be her friend right now because that's what she needs. When the right time comes, you will feel it and you can ask her out.
If you want the direct approach, go ahead and tell her that you like her but you're willing to wait. Just be there for her and take this opportunity to show what kind of a person you are. Good luck
