OK, peeps, the people who watch anime and think of anime as part of their life, how many of you who are a fan (or at least watch) DEATH NOTE? I mostly mean the anime, or if you read the manga. What do you think of this anime; (1.) superb, (2.) so-so, or (3.) a complete waste of time. would like to hear from fellow anime fans. ;)

It'a a superb anime, some episodeos you really can't predict what is going to happen, by the way as anyone know about the translations, i read somewhere that some fansubs are going to stop translating the anime, is it true??

True i guess..because it's planned to be brought to the US, that's why. But i think there's still some groups continuing subbing the anime, like animanda.

realy gerat story,
after finising read the manga, its give me another perception about police.
police as I know .... capture criminal etc, but here its solve massacre.
for me this case is imposible. criminal die by kira without knowing the suspect.
on this movie/anime/manga we can see how police / detective solve the case step by step .. its amazing for me, realy great story from the mangaka 5 thumbup for you

i like the dialogues that L and Kira are playing in their minds. It's like they're the same person, but they are brought on opposite situations.

i havent watched the anime but ive finished the manga series. ITS ONE OF THE BEST out there, even if the rankings doesnt say so--but in this case IT DOES. its one of the best belling Shounen Jump series of all time. highly recommended. :)

But anyone.........ANYONE feels like sometimes L is taking the things personally, like it's all about HIM and RAITO, him defeating raito, and to win, and NOT about HIM helping the police to take down the criminal (in this case Kira) and save the country?

I love this anime \o/
It's perfect. the opening song is great. the draw is great. the plot is great and the character are great too.
Now I stop on the 19th episode. I'm waiting for the end to watch the live action.
I would like to know if the live action is a differnt story from the anime?? Now I know that the anime serie has 37 episodes... so the end is coming closer \o\
Hey DN fans... please don't spoil the end... I was so sas when I read yesterday things that I don't see yet when I was searching for something in mylot...

Yeah. The opening song is so cool for an opening!! And...yeah, the live-action movies are basically based closely on the manga/anime. Like the Ray-Penbar-on-the-train plot on the first movie. But they tweak the story a little, and it's not disappointing at all. The movie's even greater. It won't disappoint original DN anime/manga fans. :)
