is life ruled by us or by else?

The actions that we take and the actions other people take in regard to our lives can be like a river. We can either flow along with life or we can get our our paddles and try to change the direction of our lives. It is up to us.

Yaa the present life situations is because of the past life actions. So some people suffer heavily because of thier accumulated sins in thier previous lives and some people are prosperous and good because of thier good merits they have earned in thier previous lives. The only way to escape from the sufferings is to worship the lord to the extent that you previous sins gets totally wiped out by your present devotion towards your god.

It is a little bit of both. Our Live and out thoughts and what we work for will all attract what comes to us. Our actions come back to us, and we are naturally in the Spiritual world attracted to things that are similar or the same to us, and in the physical world opposites tend to attract as even nature sets the darkest darks next to the lightest lights... As we learned in Art class.. There is always a balance. Some things are predestined for us and other things are our own choices based on balancing energy intake and energy exput :D - DNatureofDTrain
