How fast can you type?

I thought it would be interesting to find out how fast people on myLot can type and whether or not you type using the home keys. To find out my typing speed I used the web site www.typingtest.com. Go ahead and take it and post your results. Here are mine:
I got 91 WPM and 96% accuracy. I'm using a laptop keyboard which I don't like as well as a regular one. I don't type using the home keys. I just kind of use all my fingers and know where the keys are.

Last time I was tested which was probably a year ago, I was at 94%. They only list 100% accuracy because they take off for typos.
However, this is also 25 years of typing every day.
One of the ladies in our office tested at 118 WPM, and for the life of me I can't figure out how the heck she did it.

Yeah anything over 100 WPM is insane.

Well my typing is very much above average although I am not a professional typist and just self-learned. Everyone is impressed when my fingers move on the keyboard. I use the touch system and from the test in the site you have given I got a speed of 40 wpm. I did not make any mistakes as it was an easy paragraph and the test was 3 minutes. But your 91 wpm drives me crazy. How do you do it. Are you using the Dvorak keyboard.

i can type only 30 -35 words per minute.my god u r great that u can type so fast

Ya it is interesting
My best typing speed (last week when i tested) was 26wpm, with 95% accuracy.

I learned to type at school and have always enjoyed typing. Using a typewriter I could only manage around 34 wpm then the keys jammed, I am not as accurate as I used to be but can type much faster now. I don't know where the keys are, but my fingers do.
Using a laptop is much more difficult than using a proper keyboard.
got 45 wpm and 97% accuracy. Not bad for a mere male.

I took a test at another site as the one for www.typingtest.com wouldn't load. I scored 45 wpm with 4.5 mistakes LOL. If I am just typing out posts or reviews of products, I can type a lot faster but if I am reading from a script then my time bottoms out and I get more mistakes. This was a fun post ... but now I know I need to break out my typing CD ROM and do some serious practicing!

I got a huge 28 wpm. i suck at typing and im super slow. i dont care though, i dont plan on doing anything in the typing area as an occupation.

i can do 33WPM, i actually have improve after joining mylot, before i can only tupe 28WPM.
